The path from sowing seed to fruit

The path from sowing seed to fruit
In the spring of 2023. In 2018, we held our first workshop at the Pantovčak Elementary School in Zagreb.
Students 4. The students of the 1st grade welcomed us in a pleasant atmosphere accompanied by joy and curiosity.
That was the real foundation for the message we brought to them.
Along with a careful examination of the various seeds they had the opportunity to learn about, there was also a presentation about the journey that every plant goes through from the moment it is placed in the soil as a tiny seed.
The similarity that plants have with us humans as they go through their development process is incredible!
They, just like people, have LIFE within them, and their maturation stems from that life.
The children listened carefully as we told them that plants also need help through communion with other inhabitants in their environment, such as other plants, animals, and the people who care for them.
Friendship and cooperation are what we all need to have much more success in life – said our Ana.
What it looks like among the plants in the forest was a particularly interesting picture because until then, few people knew that, for example, If one tree suffers from some kind of disease, all the other trees in the forest, as well as smaller plants, send their life forces towards it to strengthen it and support its further development.
Isn’t that truly miraculous?
The second part of the workshop was led by Matea, a young landscape architecture student.
She has prepared various interesting facts about the sensory park for children.
This was particularly interesting for the children, because at the end of the presentation they had the opportunity to create their own sensory park, and their creativity burst forth in all directions.
Our effort through the workshop was to show children the importance of perseverance and creativity, which is not only important in gardening and design, but can be applied to all aspects of life. The problems we face are only challenges that make us stronger so that when the fruit comes, the happiness and gratitude are greater.
“So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but He who gives the growth.” 1 Cor. 3:7
